Tridonic Introduces DC-String 48 V Track Lighting Technology
Dornbirn, Austria, April 24, 2018 ‒ Tridonic, a leading global provider of smart and efficient lighting solutions, today announced its new DC-String technology, the DC String is now commercially available with a new 100-watt AC/DC power supply designed for the U.S. market. The AC/DC driver and the DC/DC board are intentionally separated, the innovative 48 V DC-String lighting solution does away with bulky track boxes, leading to a slimmer design. The DC-String technology gives luminaire manufacturers a new freedom of design and provides simplicity, a lower cost to wire, and use of familiar lighting controls with a 0-10 V bridge, which allows for safe interchangeability for occupants in the space. more
Tridonic Collaborates with Enlighted on First IoT-Ready Compliant Driver
Dornbirn, Austria, April 19, 2018 – Tridonic today announced the first LED driver compliant with the IoT-Ready™ standard and integrated 2 % energy metering accuracy compliant with the DesignLights Consortium® (DLC®) Guidelines. By collaborating with Enlighted, the leading provider of Internet of Things (IoT) solutions for commercial buildings, the driver was created on draft specifications developed by the IoT-Ready Alliance™. The result is the first commercially-available IoT-Ready Profile 1 compliant driver. The IoT-Ready standard is protocol, device and sensor independent, which enables the new IoT-Ready driver to work with any smart sensor and protocol, such as THREAD, ZigBee, Bluetooth, etc., to enable various IoT and smart lighting applications. more

Dornbirn, March 15, 2018 – Tridonic initiated patent lawsuits against telecommunication retailer S-KON eKontor24 GmbH. Although District Court Munich I affirmed Tridonic’s arguments, parties agreed on a settlement for reasons of legal certainty and prompt settlement of the dispute. more

The company has installed a total of 200 devices at its headquarters in Dornbirn, Austria. net4more provides a network for the connected devices, both wired via Power over Ethernet (PoE) and wireless via THREAD.
